With the entry into force of the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Software Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies of the Republic of Croatia, DBV will, after carrying out accessibility testing, publish on these pages a Statement on the Accessibility of its website and applications related to services and projects, their compliance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102, and enable the provision of user feedback for the purpose of further improving web accessibility.

GENERAL

The website www.airport-dubrovnik.hr strives to ensure the accessibility of its services for persons with disabilities. Significant resources have been invested in simplifying the use of the website with the aim of making it more accessible to users. DBV believes that recognizing the importance of ensuring digital accessibility for all users, with a particular emphasis on easier access to public services and information for persons with disabilities, is implementing, to the greatest extent possible, Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies. DBV continuously improves the user experience by applying relevant accessibility standards.

ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

As a public sector body, DBV strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies of the Republic of Croatia (Official Gazette No. 17/19), dated 23 September 2019, which transposes Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies into national legislation. This accessibility statement applies to the website www.airport-dubrovnik.hr.

DEGREE OF COMPLIANCE

The website www.airport-dubrovnik.hr is largely compliant with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies.

During the period from September to December 2020, the website design was refined to comply with Accessibility rules, and to integrate an Accessibility management tool into it

All errors reported by the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation tool were removed, and all items recommended for implementation were refined.

An Accessibility tool was implemented on the portal with the following functions:

  • font size of all content
  • font selection for people suffering from dyslexia
  • increasing the space between letters
  • marking links (by underlining)
  • increasing the contrast of the entire page
  • displaying the page in invert mode
  • displaying the page in colorless (black/white)

It is also possible to access the web map, the document with accessibility information, and the form for reporting Accessibility problems from this tool.

INACCEPTABLE CONTENT

The content listed below is inaccessible for the following reasons:

Accessibility of PDF documents for people with visual impairments: some PDF files contained in publications on the Dubrovnik Airport website were not entirely created by exporting from the source file in Microsoft Office Word with accessibility options selected, but by scanning printed documents. Some published documents are therefore not accessible because they are not properly prepared for screen readers

videos do not have subtitles

part of the content of the website itself is not fully accessible due to the styles used in the formatting of the content or because part of the content is displayed in images.

DBV will take the necessary steps to resolve the problem of inaccessible content on its website in order to maximize the level of accessibility, all in the firm belief that every person has the right to a dignified, equal, comfortable and independent life. Some of the employees of the Administrative Department for general, legal and technical affairs, that is, the Department for Public Relations and IT Affairs, were trained to manage and maintain the content of websites and software solutions for mobile devices in accordance with the Accessibility Act by attending a one-day workshop intended for officials in charge of the administration of websites in public sector bodies, i.e. those liable for the application of the Act, organized by the State School for Public Administration.
